Testimonials

"The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), is one of the most efficient and effective government agencies. It can get things done. This is because of the strong leadership of Director General Lilia de Lima. As a one- stop shop for investors, directly issuing permits, the import and export procedures are simplified. It provides 24/7 continuous service to investors. There is no bureaucratic tape at PEZA. Simplicity and speed are important aspects to which investors pay attention."
"PEZA 's policies are investor friendly. It listens to investors concerns and needs. Dir Gen de Lima is always available to investors whenever they have problems. This effort to accommodate investors builds goodwill. Listening to Voice of Customer and establishing good partnership are means to achieve transparency and openness."
"PEZA is graft free. I can truly be confident about."

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all that PEZA has done to make it easier and less costly for ON Semiconductor to conduct our operations in the Philippines. As you know, we became a PEZA registered company back in 2007 and since then we have enjoyed not only the benefits of a PEZA registered company from an incentives standpoint but we have also noticed that the red tape that we had experience in the past has largely disappeared. Of course we still do encounter difficulties sometimes when dealing with agencies outside of PEZA but we know that with only one phone call to your organization that a very competent team of people will be mobilized to resolve our issues. I know you told me when we became a PEZA company there would be no more Red Tape but Instead only Red Carpet treatment and indeed that has been true. Also of note is the enthusiasm in which you and your organization approach bringing more businesses and jobs to the Philippines. I have been in many functions with you where you represented PEZA, and the Philippines, so well that I am sure those in the audience were enticed to increase their investments or bring more business to the Philippines from abroad. I was certainly one of those people in the past and as a result we have more than doubled the size of our operations here in the Philippines in just a few years time. Your organization is a model of efficiency and ethical behavior in the Philippines and other agencies would do well to model your success. We at ON Semiconductor look forward to a very long and mutually beneficially relationship here in the Philippines.

“PEZA under the leadership of Director General Lilia B. De Lima has been providing excellent support for Mactan Economic Zone. The locators in MEZ1 are very grateful for PEZA's efforts in the reduction of electric power rate which is among the highest in the Ecozones. This is very timely in view of the on-going worldwide economic crisis affecting our industries. Other assistance from PEZA include the skills training courses and placements for the displaced workers, freezing of rentals, extension of the income tax holiday, etc. PEZA has championed environmental conservation projects which include tree planting sites in the Cebu Buhisan Watershed, the MMT project in MEZ1 launced over a year ago has been the model for the public economic zones, etc. PEZA has been very successful in securing for the locators the support and cooperation by the various agencies as Bureau of Customs, DENR, LGU's, etc.”

“I consider PEZA as a government agency with no corruption. PEZA has developed a culture of absolute honesty, integrity and utmost service to their clients.
PEZA has offered very competitive incentives for their locators, aside from its advantages of locating in PEZA economic zones, such as, fully secured area perimeter, world-class and environment friendly, and the like.
Additionally, PEZA is a non-stop shop. At the zones, PEZA provides 24/7 of continuous service to locator companies. This is also very important to support the expansion of operations of its locators.
I thank PEZA for its professionalism and seamless support”

PEZA’s “One-Stop Shop” concept, as well as, other various electronic transaction processing initiatives greatly enhance our capability to expand our operations with greater ease and flexibility.
It saves us from doing the usual time-consuming, as well as, costly, physical activities and allows us to focus more on our core business processes.

"I am satisfied to live in the Philippines thru the SRRV. Communication is not a problem here as everyone speaks English, even in the markets. There are very little cultural differences here compared to other countries. Because of the warm climate, many senior citizens like me prefer retiring here. Also, there are lots of beautiful places you can visit in the Philippines."

Han Chol Kang (Korean)

“I am frequent traveller to the Philippines because I consider it my second home. When I learned about this retiree’s visa, I did not hesitate to apply for it. Indeed, I’ve experience the hassle-free convenience at the airport whenever I travel in the country. I recommend having the SRRV to my fellow foreigners.”

Chen Shenxiu (Chinese (PROC))

"I grew up in the Philippines but made my life in another country. When time for retirement came, I had to decide where to spend my remaining years. I am so glad I decided to retire here, specially now that there is a global financial crisis. Given a certain amount of money, the quality of life is much better here. In addition, there is excellent health care, wonderful places to visit, and welcoming warmth and camaraderie of my fellow Filipinos. I can truly smile at life in the Philippines."
Mark Par (American (Former Filipino))

“I find the cost of living here very reasonable. It’s a very nice place to live in with lots of amenities that are affordable. Here, I feel that I am somebody rather than just another old guy walking down the streets and malls. There are also a lot of nice places to go to. This is much as my home now as it in the United States.”

James Logsdon (American)

The Regional Board of Investments (RBOI) – ARMM is one of the most active and reliable government agencies we had known. We said this because we had an actual experience with this agency who had given us a full support for our BJ Coco Oil Milling Project implementation, with respect to registration & incentives application. We never experienced a bureaucratic tape in this period.
The officers and staff are very cooperative and friendly who had extended to us the full support in fastracking our application for registration and other incentives that we can avail via E.O. 226 or popularly known as Omnibus Investment Code.
If all of our government agencies are like RBOI (ARMM), there is no doubt that our dear country can realize a progressive environment like our ASEAN neighbors. In the process of our registration and incentive application, we never had an experience of graft insinuations.
With this clean transaction we had undergone, we can truly say “Thank you and we salute this agency for a true dedication & inspiring officers and staff attitudes”.
BJ Coco Oil Mill, Inc.

Since the establishment of the Company’s banana plantation in September 1997, RBOI has consistently and continually provided the necessary support and assistance for the progress and success of LA FRUTERA, INC and to what it has become now as a pioneer industry in ARMM. The income tax and duty incentives that LFI had enjoyed thru the investment initiative of RBOI contributed much to the sustainability and stability of LFI. With RBOI’s unrelenting effort and thrust in bringing about prosperity and economic development in ARMM, more industries like Agusan Mill and ARDEXCOR are gaining ground in the region.
LFI is committed to support all programs that RBOI is pursuing for the continuing development and economic upliftment of ARMM. Towards this end, LFI will tap 600 hectares more in adjacent areas and nearby municipalities as part of its expansion program for the next three years.
